Restoration of Public Service 2651 - January 2008

The NJERHS crew removed PSNJ 2651's east-end bulkhead interior on Jan 26th to permit the repair of the east-end corner posts.
Tony Hall removes the numerous screws holding the bulkhead interior panels in place.
Rob Hooper removes the seat frames. The construction of the bulkhead interior panels required the removal of all interfering interior items on that end of the car: seats, seat frames, window panels, etc. Fortunately, the dry and cold weather shrunk the mortises permitting an easy disassembly operation.
No sooner did we have them removed than we are reinstalled the interior items minus the bulkhead interior panels . This makes the car presentable to our visitors while the corner posts are repaired.
