NJERHS

The North Jersey Electric Railway Historical Society is an organization committed to further the study of historic electric railway operations and equipment. NJERHS will also collect and exhibit data on these subjects, for its members as well as helping to keep the general public informed on said subjects. The Society also works to study such other transportation vehicles and transportation history as are related to electric railways, street railways, trolley buses, motor buses and other related transportation vehicles and systems.

Here Comes 2651!!

Time to get things moving!!

On Saturday October 27, 2007 the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians were able to connect the engine house track to the rest of the tracks on the property allowing the Lehigh Valley Chapter NRHS Chestnut Ridge Mack Rail Bus to operate back and fourth over approximately 700 feet of track. This connection and moving the Mack Rail Bus allowed for NJERHS to remove the freight car trucks which 2651 has been on since it arrived in Phillipsburg, NJ in March 2001. With the arrival of power trucks in February of 2006 and some rework the power trucks are now near ready to operate under 2651.
